Description

Tronadora is a shrub with long sharp leaves and yellow trumpet-like flowers. It is used to make medicine. Medicine is usually made from the leaves and stems, although the roots and flowers are also sometimes used.

People use tronadora for diabetes and digestion problems. However, there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

Some medications used for diabetes include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), chlorpropamide (Diabinese), glipizide (Glucotrol), tolbutamide (Orinase), and others.

Herbs and supplements that might lower blood sugar: Tronadora might lower blood sugar in people with diabetes. Taking tronadora along with other herbs and supplements that can lower blood sugar might cause your blood sugar to go too low.
