A published article in a British scientific journal stated that when consumers in Canada were given full information, they chose to eat genetically modified corn. What the article didn't say is how this information was presented to Canadian consumers. Directly above the assortment of non-GMO corn was this question, "Would you eat wormy sweet corn?" Above the assortment of GMO corn, there was no sign or question. The survey was conducted by a pro-GMO group in Canada.
This example shows the length to which the biotech industry will go to promote their GMO products—publishing an article in a scientific journal that only presents part of the story.
