Job Overview  

The Chief of Staff is a full-time role, will have the opportunity to quickly learn the business, and will act as the CEO's right hand in the day-to-day execution of the company’s initiatives. Using strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, the Chief of Staff will work to ensure smooth company operations by attending meetings, handling day-to-day activities on behalf of the CEO, executing projects, keeping notes, and communicating objectives between functional areas of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the CEO.
    • Manage the daily schedule
    • Plan and coordinate meetings
    • Respond to inquiries on behalf of the CEO
    • Advise on tactical and project matters
  • Act as an extension of the CEO in appropriate settings to oversee meetings and keep them focused.
  • Manage assigned projects, serving as subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them.
  • Provide support and oversight for other special projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in onboarding clients by setting up membership profiles and community groups and loading their digital materials into KnoWEwell’s Hub.
  • Create images (original and from templates) in Canva.
  • Create events, jobs opportunities, and projects in the Hub.
  • Build strong relationships with other departments to allow for cross-functional partnership.
  • Identify and help streamline business processes.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Degree in Business, Administration or similar field
  • 3+ years in a business or project coordinator/management role
  • Superb judgment and integrity, unparalleled confidentiality, and sophistication in all aspects of work
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritizing skills and experience
  • Effective problem-solver and willing to take the necessary steps to overcome problems
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong project reporting skills
  • Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and being part of a team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated critical, outside-the-box, and creative thinking
  • Experience creating and editing designs in Canva or similar design program
  • Quick study and comfortable learning new technologies
  • Must be available to work in the Far Hills, NJ office on a daily basis, with remote work as an occasional option
