When coughs, colds, and sore throats arrive—will you be ready?

Join herbalist Christina Winters of Wych’s Bloom for a seasonal, hands-on workshop designed to help you build your own herbal medicine chest in time for cold and flu season. Focusing on safe, effective plants that grow in the Northeast, Christina will guide you through time-tested herbal strategies to support the body from prevention through recovery.

You’ll get to know core immune and respiratory herbs like echinacea, thyme, garlic, lemon balm, and yarrow, and explore how to use them as teas, tinctures, and infused honeys.

Then, roll up your sleeves and make two remedies to take home:

• An immune-boosting tincture

• A throat-soothing honey

Whether you're a parent, caregiver, teacher, or simply someone looking for a natural way to stay resilient this winter, this class will give you the tools and the confidence, to support your household with plants.

All materials provided. No prior herbal experience necessary.

About Christina Winters, Herbalist & Educator:

Christina is a passionate herbalist, educator, and maker rooted in the healing power of plants and community. Founder of Wych’s Bloom Apothecary—named after the Witch Hazel tree in her garden and inspired by traditions honoring the natural world. Christina blends time-honored plant medicine with hands-on teaching to empower others.

A Connecticut native and graduate of Middlebury College, Christina splits her time between Amagansett, Long Island, and Westport, Connecticut. She cultivates medicinal gardens, crafts small-batch remedies, and harvests honey from her backyard apiary. Christina’s workshops draw on her certifications from Cornell University’s Plant-Based Medicine program and the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, as well as mentorships with healers from Peru to California.

Christina teaches herbalism nationally, including courses at the New York Botanical Garden, where she shares her deep knowledge of local plants and sustainable practices. She is also an active board member of the Surfrider Foundation and Sustainable Westport, advocating for climate action and ocean conservation.

Whether leading workshops, crafting remedies, or welcoming community into her kitchen, Christina emphasizes that healing begins with connection to the earth, to plants, and to each other.
